May 3-4, 2023 | Klawock

On May 3-4, 2023, the Tongass Transition Collaborative met in Klawock, Alaska for a combination meeting and field trip. The objectives of the event were to:

1. Increase collective understanding of current and potential future forest conditions, timber supply, and market opportunities.
2. Build upon work group products to develop recommendations for young growth management and implementation. *
3. Clarify next steps for TTC engagement.

*Note: Recommendations will not represent consensus of the group. Suggestions may reflect an individual idea. Where applicable, the final report will note the levels of concurrence (or not) for each recommendation and describe varying perspectives where they exist.
